Osmoklen  AS-160 anti-scalant is a liquid deposit control agent specifically designed to control silica, as well as silicate scale formation, in reverse osmosis (RO) purifying systems. Osmoklen AS-160 anti¬scalant is a multifunctional product which exhibits excellent performance in combating the most serious causes of membrane fouling, such as build-up of calcium silicate, magnesium silicate and colloidal silica.

Properties

Osmoklen AS-160 is a highly effective anti-scalant preventing the build-up membrane fouling of CaCO3, CaSO4, BaSO4, SrSO4 and CaF2.
Use of this product provides longer run times and extended element life resulting in reduced operating and capital costs.

Feeding

The Icbina Water Technologies Membrane Technicians will define the optimum product dosage for any given water quality. In calculating dosage rates, membrane specifications, product capability, operational data and feedwater quality are considered.

Osmoklen AS-160 may be fed neat or diluted. The optimum dosage point is into the feed water line, upstream of the high-pressure pumps and ensuring a good mixing with the feedwater.
Corrosion resistant dosing equipment is required. Suitable equipment materials are 316L stainless steel PE and PVC.

Handling

Wear suitable protective gloves and safety goggles. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. In case of contact, immediately flush with plenty of water. After eye contact seek medical advice. In case of spillage, absorb with inert material and sweep up. Then flush the area with plenty of water.
