BioKlen 100 is a very concentrated liquid broad-spectrum biocide for control of slime forming bacteria, fungi and algae in industrial water systems such as recirculating water systems, pasteurizers, air washer systems, membrane separation systems and evaporative condensers.
BioKlen 100 provides extremely rapid killing and is recommended in waters with a pH between 6-8. BioKlen 100 is easily detoxified so it can be applied even in environmentally sensitive areas.

•    Although easily detoxified in alkaline pH, it can be applied there

Feeding

The Icbina Water Technologies Membrane Technicians will define the optimum product dosage for any given water quality. In calculating dosage rates, membrane specifications, product capability, operational data and feedwater quality are considered.
For membrane separation systems BIOSPERSE 244 should be applied discontinuously to the feed water prior to the membranes.
The dosage rate depends upon the type of system and the severity of fouling. Typical dosages vary between 3-100 ppm.
The optimum dosage point is into the feed water line, upstream of the high-pressure pumps and ensuring a good mixing with the feedwater.
Corrosion resistant dosing equipment is required. Suitable equipment materials are 316L stainless steel PE and PVC.

Handling

Avoid breathing vapours.
Wear suitable protective gloves and safety goggles. In case of contact immediately flush with water. After eye contact seek medical advice.
Small spills can be flushed with water. Large spills should be collected for disposal.
